Oriah Mountain Dreamer on Leaving the limitations of the familiar

Click on the link for this picture and quotation on Oriah’s Facebook page. Gratitude to Sarah Gardner for drawing our attention to this.

‘What is risk for one may be easy for another. But sooner or later, the soul will ask us to move outside our comfort zone, to drop old survival strategies that even we can see are no longer working, (but oh, they can be so comfortable in their familiarity!) to loosen our grip on that which we have relied upon for identity and at least the illusion of security so that something larger within and around us can take us into new love, new adventures, new dreams. The heart never gives up, never settles for anything less than the consummation of the deepest longings of the soul.’
