Toko-pa – The Sacred Descent

The Sacred Descent

Click on the link to visit Toko-pa’s site for this brief reflection on allowing ourselves to drop down into our own darkness from a place of intention (rather than powerlessness):-

‘There in the underworld of grief, loss and suffering, down in the muck of the very stuff our culture teaches us to reject, lives our redemption.’

Those of us spending much time in the counselling room (in either chair) may recognise thisĀ process…. And the apparent magic that can ensue, when we are able to trust ourselves enough to make the sacred descent….
