Three days after the UK election, here is a lovely gentle 7 minutes from Toko-pa, an excerpt from the film ‘Time is Art’ and part of her theme at the 2014 Synchronicity Symposium.
Here she is talking about the ‘dangerous precipice’ we face, and ideas around belonging. She refers to the yang energies favoured in our cultures, and the risks of the separation we have created from the feminine energies* of dreamtime, feeling, vulnerability, sensitivity, ambiguity, uncertainty, myth and symbol:-
‘…left to their own devices, those values that we culturally aggrandize, such as wealth and power and status…materiality is just left to run wild. It doesn’t have that guiding influence, the other half of the conversation, which is….nature showing us the way.’
* This is not, of course, about gender…we all contain yang and yin…masculine and feminine in this sense…

The writer also stumbled across this quotation on Facebook on the Evolver Social Movement page, which feels relevant:-
“The way to maintain one’s connection to the wild is to ask yourself what it is that you want. This is the sorting of the seed from the dirt. One of the most important discriminations we can make in this matter is the difference between things that beckon to us and things that call from our souls… …And that is what the intuition is for; it is the direct messenger of the soul.”
