How America’s Culture of Shame is a Killer for Boys – Mark Greene

This article by Mark is wonderful, and the writer was crying before the end…Although the title gives a masculine focus, the points made are valid for us all, however we self describe/make sense of gender.

This is the second post we have put up recently on the cultural acceptance/encouragement of shaming. The first was Monica Lewinsky’s excellent TED talk on this subject:-

The issue here is the toxicity and destructive effect for us as individuals and in our societies of the ‘culture of shame’.  Gratitude to Mark and Monica for addressing this important subject so powerfully.
