Michelangelo’s Angel

“I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni

Gratitude to our therapist, Jules, for sharing with us this beautiful Michelangelo quotation. It feels relevant both to the creative process, and to the process we witness and support at this service. The people who make their way here, and courageously undertake the painstaking – often painful – work of setting free their own angels, following the threads of their deepest inward knowing, and held by the therapist through presence and the core conditions.
