Robin Korth: My Naked Truth

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robin-korth/sex-over-50_b_5563576.html

We like Robin’s conception of beauty as arising in a person’s whole and unique being. The culturally embedded model – objectifying human beings as collections of more, or less, desirable body parts, reduced in value by age or weight – is toxic, diminishing, and serves none of us.

Inspiring and encouraging to hear Robin reject Dave’s suggestions about how she might make herself more palatable to him, and the ideology behind them – despite and through her pain. We’re not here to meet anyone else’s standards – let alone ones that turn us into Barbie doll supporting cast members, whose job is to please…..She deserves, and will doubtless find, a man more able to offer loving relationship and celebrate her for all she is.
